Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All duties as listed under Engineering Technician 1 plus the following:
    • Performs duties under moderate supervision
    • Participates more in the development process, makes recommendations regarding improvement of test and manufacturing processes
    • Performs more complex testing of electronic equipment, using own discretion to select appropriate methods and procedures.
    • Plot recorded test data as requested, assemble results of test protocols into test reports.
    • Operates all engineering test equipment and instruments.
    • Able to perform circuit evaluations according to specifications without detailed instructions from supervisor.

Education and Experience:

  • Advanced training in electronic theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school or in an Associate degree program
  • At least 3 years experience testing and troubleshooting electronic circuitry down to the component level
  • At least 2 years experience working as an engineering or production test technician
  • Basic soldering skills. Able to replace components of 0603 or similar size.
    • IPC Certification in 610, J-Std and/or 7711/7721 a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Typical physical effort includes frequent lifting or moving of light to moderately weighted materials
  • The use of fine motor skills in the hands to examine, repair, disassemble and reassemble products
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time performing repetitive technician tasks
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a Manufacturing environment
  • Work is primarily done at one workstation, but may require shifting to other work stations on the Production floor as needs require

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stock materials and supplies on shelves, racks, and designated floor locations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Pull job orders for SMT production based on production schedules, priority lists, or direction from the Production Scheduler.
  • Issue materials to jobs with strict adherence to lot number control requirements; notify the Planner of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Stage jobs for upcoming production in an organized and clearly labeled manner, ensuring accurate tracking of material lot numbers.
  • Monitor, document, and properly handle moisture-sensitive components in accordance with established SOPs.
  • Maintain 6S standards within the SMT warehouse area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform cycle counts in assigned areas; request approval for inventory adjustments and process approved changes in the ERP system.
  • Manage and maintain “blue-card” line stock items required for builds, including solder paste and other consumables.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain inventory records within the ERP system.
  • Assist other departments as directed by supervisors.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with Production, Purchasing, Receiving, and other departments to ensure material availability and workflow efficiency.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • At least 6 months in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Required to follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Requires computers skills including MS Office products including a proficiency in Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands:

  • Typical physical effort includes frequent lifting or moving of heavily weighted materials
  • Frequent lifting, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a combination of warehouse, production shop and office environments
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oil
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

  • Participates in managing/ maintaining “blue-card” line stock items required for item builds.
  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move and organize inventory..
  • Data entry and use of ERP system
  • Required to use company truck to move materials between company buildings and may pick up and/or drop off materials at suppliers and customers
  • Assist other areas in accordance to supervisors direction
  • Work and communicate with Production/Purchasing/Receiving and other departments

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • At least 6 months in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Required to follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Must have automobile license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to be certified to operate a forklift, current certification a plus
