Proposal

iTECH strives to present every detail in the first proposal — applied technology, design overview, NRE, tooling, certification and product pricing. You receive this information with a milestone schedule that lists critical path items. ( iTECH design experience reduces NRE.)

Design Begins

You receive a detailed Microsoft Project schedule and an engineering product specification. The project development schedule contains checkpoints and milestones for your approval. Project files are exchanged via e-mail and we mutually monitor progress.

When you are satisfied with the schedule and specification the design continues. We historically follow these milestones.

Design, Tooling

SLAs, models and working prototypes are also integrated into the schedule when you use iTECH's industrial design and/or tooling services.

  • Join our designers and carefully integrate your charger or battery appearance with the host. We insure manufacturability.

  • Tooling files are created in PRO/e or SolidWorks.

  • iTECH's tooling partner in China offers sizeable value with the highest quality.

  • You approve your product appearance at each milestone: drawing, SLA, molds, first article, textured first article — through production.

Testing and Certification,

After prototype acceptance and iTECH's DVT, we are prepared to move to emissions and safety certification.

Our headquarters is within a few miles of NEMKO and TUV, San Diego. We also have nearby facilities for lithium ion transportation testing.

These laboratories offer comprehensive Medical, FCC, UL, and CSA, as well as CE/CB capabilities. We have certified numerous products with these agencies.

We also arrange for Accelerated Life Tests and HALT testing , when required.

iTECH engineering participates in each proposal and works with you to develop a detailed specification. Weekly conference calls track status throughout the project.

You have a blend of electrical and mechanical engineering resources at your disposal, when working with iTECH. This combination is a rare capability in a battery or charger design and manufacturing source.

Unlike other battery suppliers, iTECH keeps the electrical design and SMT operations in-house. This shortens development time, shortens production lead times and creates local quality control. This combination is another rare capability in a battery or charger design and manufacturing source.
